Back home

Hello!
I am now back home in Stockholm after an amazing week in England. I must say that the best part of the journey was to see Mary. We were literally inseparable when she lived here and it felt like we were complete again. This morning I went for a final morning stroll through Knightsbridge and just enjoyed the London morning. Then Mary drove me to Gatwick and I got on a plane back home.
I have learned a lot during this journey, not only where to find the best scones in Britain, but also a lot about England's history. This journey has been a real success and I loved every minute of it. I really hope that I will return again soon.

Day #6 - London Eye and shopping

Today started with a ride in London Eye. Mary wasn't in the mood for that so I went alone. The view was really amazing! I did take a lot of pictures but it is so complicated to upload them, so I just skip that. The whole ride took about 30 minutes, and was queuing for like 45. But it was defenietly worth it! After the Eye I went to King's Road to meet Mary. We had a coffee at Starbucks and then we just went for a stroll down the street and looked in some stores. The sun was shining and it was quite warm outside, very cozy actually!
Then we had lunch at a little restaurant, I can't recall its name, but it was really nice there. The waitor was nice and the food delicious! I had a fish and chips again, I just love it!
After the lovely lunch it was shopping time at Oxford Street. I thought the street would be much smaller, more like Drottninggatan in Stockholm, but it was very large. I liked it anyhow, there were so many good brands and stores!
Now it's time for bed, I have to get up early tomorrow.

Dat #3 - sightseeing with Mary

Hello!
Today I finally met Mary! God I have missed her so much! She is British but her father is half Swedish, and he decided together with her mother that they would move to Stockholm when Mary was 12 years old. I got to know her when she started in my school. We became best friends and were inseparable for 4 years, until she moved back to London. I had only seen her once before this, and that was the summer of 2010.
Mary is tall, slim and amazingly beautiful. Her hair is long and brown, her eyes deep blue and she has got this innocent face that no one can resist. I remember when I first met her in school. Back then she was very small, shy and were wearing glasses and braces. But after 2 years she looked like a totally different person. Even though she is really beautiful now is she still the same person. I think that is one of the reasons that I love her so much.
Anyway, today Mary showed me the best of London. For instance, The Tower of London. We saw the crown jewels, and woooooow! I really liked the diamond on the queen's spire, the worlds largest. We also went to see the Houses of Parliament, Big Ben and Westminister Abbey. The Parliament was really cool because I have seen it in so many movies and finally I saw it myself!

Day #2 - Cranbrook and London

Good evening!
This day started with a little tour to Cranbrook. A pretty little village, yes, but a bit too countryside for me. Well, i don't think there is so much more to say about Cranbrook. After lunch tim drove me to a train station, and I went to London!! The train arrived at a station, I can't really recall the name right now, but it was big anyhow. From there I took a taxi to my hotel in Knightsbridge. The taxi passed Buckingham Palace and Hyde Park, so I got a little taste of what's coming. I am staying at the Millenium Hotel on Sloane Street in Knightsbridge. My neighbours for the next four days is Roberto Cavalli and Gucci. I am sure that we will become very good friends. I was lucky to get a room at the 11th floor with a good view over the city, but unfortunatley the room is a real petite room. But since I am not going to spend very much time in the room, I guess I can live with it.
As soon as I arrived I went out to see where I was and get some location. And guess what? I am lucky to be staying 200 meters from Harrods! I can even see the building from my window.

Day #1 - checking out Angley Stud and Rye

Good evening!
Today Johanna and Tim showed me their land and their horses. We also went for a long walk in the forest. England is really beautiful in the autumn, like today the forest was still quite green but there was a lot of yellow leaves too. It was typical English weather; misty, a bit grey and wet. Love it!
After the lovely walk we had lunch, and then went to Rye, a small coast village about 50 minutes from Cranbrook. It was a very cute little village with a big and beautiful church!
England is still quite warm compared with Sweden. Today it was 16 degrees and in Stockholm it's probably like 2 degrees.

Guess who's boat?
Right answer: Paul McCartney's (!!!!!)

Just a cool door in Rye.

Have a nice evening!
